Dreams in Motion

Dreams in Motion is a visual journey through the fluid and ever-changing landscapes of the subconscious.

Created by Benoît Theunissen, this collection merges the unpredictability of dreams with the techniques of Intentional Camera Movement (ICM), resulting in abstract compositions that evoke a sense of constant motion and transformation. Each piece captures the ephemeral nature of perception, blurring the lines between reality and the dreamlike realms that reside within our minds. The dynamic forms, created through deliberate camera movement during long exposures, mimic the shifting tides of thought and the malleability of the unconscious. Drawing inspiration from Carl Jung's theories of the unconscious and the Buddhist notion of impermanence, Dreams in Motion explores how reality is fluid, transient, and constantly evolving. The absence of clear subjects in these works invites viewers to project their emotions, experiences, and reflections onto the imagery, encouraging an open interpretation of the landscapes within.

Step into a world where dreams flow like currents, and perception is ever in motion.
