Revisiting Icarus: the making of a signature collection
What if Icarus wasn’t a cautionary tale of failure, but a call to courage, wonder, and transcendence? In this blog post, I reflect on the intuitive and unhurried journey behind my latest signature art collection – a deeply personal reinterpretation of the myth. From a forgotten piece of writing to symbolic research using AI, this is the story of a process that took a year to ripen… and only two weeks to bring to life.
Art belongs to everyone – Why I’m launching my online shop
For years, I’ve been navigating a paradox: how to honour the depth of artistic intention while making my work accessible — truly accessible — to more than just a privileged few.
Today, I’m sharing the vision behind my upcoming online shop. Not just as a way to offer prints, but as a statement of belief:
Art should not be a luxury. It should be a shared light.
🎯 My Artistic and Commercial Vision
For a long time, I hesitated to sell my work. How could I reconcile the act of selling art with my deep conviction that art should belong to everyone? How could I create space for beauty without excluding those who cannot afford access to galleries?
This question stayed with me for months. But today, I choose to respond differently. I refuse to accept that art be a privilege reserved for a select few. I believe it can — and must — enter every home, every workspace, every quiet corner. To offer escape, breath, stillness. A flicker of light.
In a world saturated with anxiety, crises, and uncertainty, we need beauty as an anchor. As a poetic refuge. As a sensitive mirror.
New interview — On the edge of dream and perception
I recently had the pleasure of sharing my thoughts on surrealism, memory, and the invisible forces that shape my artistic process.
In this new interview, I speak about the shift from documentary photography to dreamlike abstraction, the role of Jungian archetypes and glitch aesthetics, and how art can open new portals of perception — both in the real world and the metaverse.
📖 “I’m not interested in showing what things look like. I’m after what they feel like beneath the surface.”
New Wallpaper Collection Available
I’m offering a special bundle of surrealist wallpapers — a gentle gift designed to resonate with emotion and inner presence. Taken from Dreamscape Reflection, one of the pieces in my Harbors of Reality collection, this artwork explores the blurred frontier between the real and the imagined.

I am thrilled to share with you a unique experience: a podcast dedicated to my artwork 'Urban Mirage', available on ANASAEA, the avant-garde metaverse platform where I have the pleasure of serving as an ambassador. Redefining artistic horizons in the artverse with ANASAEA
As an artist, there’s one dream that constantly drives me forward: the vision of my work displayed in a gallery, connecting with people on a deeply personal level. Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to bring that dream to life in a unique way. I created my first virtual exhibition in the Metaverse, or as some call it, the Artverse. Using the innovative platform and services provided by Anasaea, I took a step into the future of art exhibition—and the experience has completely transformed how I view sharing my work with the world.
This journey has been made even more meaningful by a recent milestone in my career: being selected as an Art Ambassador for Anasaea. It’s an honour to collaborate with a platform that not only champions digital art but also empowers artists to push creative boundaries. This partnership has provided me with the tools and support to present my work in ways I had never imagined, including my latest exhibition of the City Stream collection in a breathtaking virtual space.
The emotional journey of printing fine art photography
What does it feel like to print one of your own works? What emotions arise when you see your creation come to life, professionally printed on gallery-quality paper, meticulously tested and compared with other samples? And how does it feel when that print is not only mounted on a high-quality medium like 3mm aluminium Dibond but also framed in a way that elevates its presentation, such as with a floating frame?
These are questions I recently began asking myself. It was during an art photography coaching session with French photographer and artist Ludovic Baron that I was confronted with this reflection. As part of a challenge given to his students, we were tasked with producing a gallery-standard print of one of our favourite works within a month. This involved everything from testing various papers, ordering samples, selecting the ideal framing, and finding the perfect overall rendering. For my part, I had to wait over two weeks for my print to arrive from a renowned French laboratory that has been working with famous photographers for decades. The waiting, although long, only heightened the anticipation and the emotions I felt upon its arrival.
The time it takes to create
The other day, a colleague asked me a deceptively simple question: "How long does it take you to create a piece of art?" It's a tough one to answer. When you think about it, a piece of art is the culmination of an artist's years of work, inspiration, and life experiences. Each piece is more than just the sum of these elements because the artist is always evolving, like a snowball that grows over time.
An artist shapes their identity through encounters, detours, and even off-the-beaten-path experiences. Creating a piece of art is about telling a story that is always changing. Each piece is a snapshot of the artist's evolution at a specific moment, documenting their journey and influences.
Inspired by the Belgian Surrealist
“Inspired by the Belgian Surrealist” features an owl with a pipe and bowler hat, set against a vibrant, abstract background. Combining photography, digital painting, collage, and animation, the piece captures the surreal tension between motion and stillness, reality and illusion, inspired by the works of René Magritte.
Follow the White Rabbit
A few days after I created my first NFT, titled 'Inspired by Lidija,' I launched a second one on the Ethereum blockchain, titled 'Inspired by the White Rabbit.' This piece is an animated work of digital surrealism designed to transport us from one universe to another. Throughout its creation, I was continually inspired by the metaphor of the white rabbit. It’s an animated digital artwork inviting us into a surreal realm, merging the curiosity of Alice's Wonderland with the introspective journey of The Matrix.
